The Lindy Bag was first introduced to the public during the Hermès 1992 collection. Designed by Friederic Vidal, the bag was created as a homage to the American Street Dance, Lindy Hop.
Not only that, instead of designing the handles to go on the long side of the bag, the handles are placed on the shorter end of the bag to which the structure folds on itself, giving it a special silhouette. The atypical shape makes it arguably Hermès' most unique bag. As of today, all sizes are still being produced except the Lindy 45 (also known as the Lindy Voyage) as it has since been discontinued.
